Innovators who explore original, value-creating ideas and entrepreneurs who propel those ideas into world-class products and services are key to the continuing success of robotics and automation today. This Special Forum will highlight and honor the achievements of these people with the clear objective of promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in our society. Active infusion of such innovation and entrepreneurship into technological advancement is regarded critical at this juncture to strengthen a healthy balance between research and practice as well as a healthy growth of industrial and commercial sectors in robotics and automation. We plan to recognize clear examples of successful innovation and entrepreneurship by inviting them to the forum as plenary lectures with awards, as well as to provide entrepreneurs and entrepreneur potentials with opportunities to present and contest their Ideas, technologies, and business plans under dynamic Interaction among researchers, practitioners, and investors toward new business opportunities.
Organization
The forum will be organized jointly by IEEE RAS and IFR, as part of the collaboration agreement between two organizations on promoting industrial activities. The newly formed Industrial Activity Board (IAB) of IEEE RAS and the Leadership of IFR will be responsible for organizing the Forum.
