2005 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation
April 18-22, 2005. Palau de Congressos de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain
The 2005 International Conference on Robotics and Automation will be held in Barcelona, seven years after the last edition in Europe in 1998. During this time, the continuous progress in robotics and its related areas has produced great changes in the way we use and apply robots. Operating closer and closer with humans, robot interaction is an increasing research topic in robotics. The theme of the ICRA'05 conference, Robots get closer to humans raises issues in matters related to human robot interaction, in advances and experiences of robots at home, at work, for education, as well as in other emerging areas (see the topics conference list). This annual event will be held in 2005 one week after one of the most important exhibitions in the field, the Hannover Messe, in Germany, thus facilitating the participation of researchers and professionals in robotics to two of the most relevant international events in robotics in the world.
